Request Eagle is a Postman alternative written in Rust and rendered on the GPU. It is a real Mac app with no web view inside, and it keeps your requests as files on your disk.

That is the time from launch until the request editor is on screen. Postman takes 3.9 seconds, 18 times as long.

How this was measured

Both apps were launched ten times in turn on one machine while the screen was recorded at 60 frames per second. The time runs from starting the process to the last frame in which the window was still being drawn. The figures are medians: 216 ms for Request Eagle 0.1.15, and 3,859 ms for Postman 12.30.3 used without an account.
